Anders Ruhwald

(born 1974) Anders Ruhwald lives and works in London and Detroit. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2005. Solo exhibitions include “The state of things” at The Museum of Art and Design in Copenhagen, Denmark, “You in Between” at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art in the UK as well as various gallery solo-shows in Stockholm, London, Copenhagen, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Brussels. His work is represented in many museum and private collections including The Victoria and Albert Museum, London (UK), The National Museum of Decorative Art (Norway), The National Museum (Sweden), The Swedish Arts Council, The Museum of Art and Design (Denmark). Ruhwald has lectured and taught at many universities and colleges around Europe and North America and has held an associate professorship at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently he is the Artist-in-Residence and Head of the Ceramics Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Detroit.
