(born 1967) Felix Malnig lives in Vienna, Austria and was raised in Germany and Canada. He studied fine arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and graduated in 1992. In addition he studied architecture at the Technical University in Vienna for 2 years. His work includes painting, video, photography and objects.

His work can be found in art collections and museums throughout Austria, such as the Art Collection of the Austrian Government, the Art Collection of the City of Vienna, the Landesmuseum Niederösterreich, St. Poelten, the Museum Arbeitswelt Steyr, the Strabag Kunstforum, the Siemens Art Collection and the Bank Austria Art Collection.
He has received numerous awards including the Strabag Recognition Award (2008); the Art Award of the City of Vienna (2000); a Grant of the City of Vienna (1999); the Erwin Ringel Art Award (1999); Recognition Award of Lower Austria (1993).
