Scott Wolniak is a multidisciplinary artist and occasional curator based in Chicago, whose work in drawing, painting, sculpture and video has been exhibited throughout the US and Europe in galleries, museums and video festivals. His work has been reviewed in Artforum, Art in America, Art News, and the Chicago Tribune, and featured in New American Paintings. He is part of the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Lynden Sculpture Garden.
He has had solo shows at the Lynden Sculpture Garden, Chicago Cultural Center, Hyde Park Art Center, Museum of Contemporary Art, Valerie Carberry Gallery, Andrew Rafacz Gallery, 65Grand and Lump. Wolniak received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1995 and MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002. He currently teaches in the Department of Visual Art at the University of Chicago.
